About Orcas Island

Orcas Island is the largest of the San Juan Islands, located in the northwestern corner of Washington state. Orcas Island is accessible by air or water. The Washington State Ferry route serving the San Juans from the mainland terminal at Anacortes, Washington stops at Orcas Island. Air service to Eastsound Airport is provided by Kenmore Air and San Juan Air.
Orcas Island is slightly larger, but less populous,
than neighboring San Juan Island.
At the northern end of the island is the
village of Eastsound, the largest town on Orcas and the second largest in San
Juan County.
Raccoon Point
Located about four miles (or 12 minutes) from Eastsound, Raccoon Point is noted for it’s beautiful scenery and quiet location. With trails to the forested shores of Mountain Lake and Mount Constitution.

Eastsound it is the largest village on Orcas Island. It’s scenic location makes Eastsound a popular tourist estination and it has several hotels and restaurants, numerous gift stores, and an airport.
